I am an older mom of a very special little girl of 10. Before having her I taught in the N.Y.C. public schools for 10 years. I am imaginative, easygoing but tough when necessary. Most of my experience is in special ed. but I have taught reading, social studies and elementary math. I have been tutoring during the school year for the past 6 years....
ADD/ADHD
I have special education training and a specialty within my BA in elementary education. I taught in the NY public schools for 12 years. I also have a daughter with ADHD. I use a behavior modification program.
Aspergers
I taught special education for 12 years. I taught children with Aspergers, autism, L.D. ADHD, etc. I think kids with Aspergers are very unique.
